Famous Chinese Handwriting

It’s one thing to be able to read Chinese characters. It’s another thing entirely to be able to read hand-written Chinese.

Here’s an interesting collection of autographs and little notes written by Chinese stars. Click on the thumbnails; there are actually decent quality scans on there.

Even if you can’t read Chinese, take a look. I think you’ll be surprised.

  1. Most stars’ handwritings look so different from the style of their signatures; of course, those signatures are especially designed for them and have been practiced for thousands of times.

Surprisingly Hanhan (韩寒)’s there. His handwriting’s one of the best there.

  2. I had a hard time to recognize their hand writing, Rainbow is right: Hanhan’s autograph is one of the best.

  3. Besides the signatures, that is some of the easiest to read writing I have come across while here. My ayi’s handwriting on the other hand…

  4. Richard Clayderman! The non-Chinese speaking laowai’s Da Shan. I never could understand this guy’s popularity.

  5. The link is broken. Do you have a back up link?
