That is just fantastic. I see a full-length feature film on the horizon.

July 24th, 2008 at 1:57 pmIs this for real? Why does the second picture lack the crotch design?

July 25th, 2008 at 12:20 amJohn,
Forgive the digression but I’m thinking you might have an answer for me given your techno expertise. What software do you use to input pinyin with tones? I’m using Windows 2007 on a PC. The last thing suggested to me seemed great but the Help Desk at my school said it was created for Windows 2003 and my computer couldn’t read the macro. ANY suggestions are most appreciated.
Thanks so much for your help .., and for maintaining such an entertaining and up-to-date blog. I love reading!

July 25th, 2008 at 1:46 amIt even has all the colors in the same position as Voltron. Not that that’s a bad thing. Voltron totally kicked ass!
July 25th, 2008 at 8:54 amIts cute, but it will never take the place of every little Chinese kids’ favourite Japanese superhero, Ultraman.
July 25th, 2008 at 11:08 amSaw these linked on either eastsouthnorthwest or danwei.org… The guy who drew the picture claims to have done it soon after those lovable fuwa were first shown to the world. Apparently a lot of people on the net saw the potential for fuwa trons.. and then some evil company committed a double crime: stealing an internet guy’s design and besmirching the Olympics. Now if Japan held the Olympics, its mascot probably WOULD be a giant robot. With huge eyes and a funny water-droplet on its forehead in times of stress.
July 25th, 2008 at 11:27 pmI would buy tickets to China just to buy that.
July 26th, 2008 at 2:34 amStupidly failed to see original link was in fact added up there…
