Happy Thanksgiving to All!!
(And why didn't anyone tell me the Murder City Devils broke up? It happened over a year ago.)
Well today is Thanksgiving here in China, 13 hours ahead of you East coast chumps in the U.S. of Ayyy. Since I am in the future I'll let you know that the Detroit Lions lost and nobody's surprised. I know I haven't updated in a while and for the three of you who visit my site I am sorry.
My Thanksgiving Day list of what I am thankful for here in China:
1. First and foremost (hense the number 1) I am thankful to John Pasden. Nostrodamus could not have selected a better group of people to live and work together. John, whether he intended to or not, did not only fill empty teaching positions here at ZUCC but created a family that I, at this point in time, could not live without (well I could but I'd be really miserable.) I'm am also thankful to have gotten the chance to know John. He is a wonderful, caring person that makes me laugh and helps me feel at ease everytime I'm with him. From the bottom of my heart I thank him for everything he has done and all that he is.
2. Sometimes two people meet and things just click. As though all my life I was nothing more than a puzzle with a piece missing. Carl is the piece that completes the puzzle that is me. I am thankful for his friendship everyday. I am thankful for his hysterical sense of humor, his heart and his extensive knowledge of commercial aircraft. Mostly I'm am thankful for the simple fact that he considers me his friend, because that means a lot and does a good deal for my self-esteem, because anyone who knows Carl knows he is better than everybody else at absolutely everything. So to just be seen next to Carl makes a lowly, uneducated, Southern scoundrel such as myself feel like I'm almost human. Thank you Carl (he's going to hate me for that.) Joking aside, I do sincerely love Carl like a brother and hold him near and dear to my heart.
3. I'm thankful for Alf (Afu), a.k.a. Rear Admiral on the U.S.S. Funknation. His tactless quips and his complete disregard for logic make him an utter joy to be around. I love every minute I get to spend with him because he exudes such an air of calm. His easygoing spirit is evident in everything he does. Just look at his spelling. His irrepressible joie de vie cannot constrain him into running a spell check. He hasn't got the time. He's got living to do. He is caring and gentle (unless you're gay then watch out) and never has anything unkind to say about anyone(please refer to the preceeding parathetical interjection), and even if he did it would come out so garbled you couldn't understand it anyway. Alf, I value your friendship everyday.
4. I am thankful for John B. as well. His help prior to our trip to the middle kingdom as well as his continued help has made me feel more comfortable and prepared than I would have felt without him. I am also thankful that he, much like myself, firmly believes that with enough beer and Rock n' Roll you can become invincible. You are a good man John B. not matter what your tastes in professional sports.
5. If there was one person here that I would refer to as wo gege (my big brother) it would have to be Russell. Caring, intelligent and drop dead gorgeous he really comes close to being the embodiment of the ideal man. Sharp of wit and completely disarming with his subtle, august beauty I find myself baffled as to why he came to China at all considering his promising future in modelling and/or gigoloing. The thing I like most though is trying to make him feel sexually uncomfortable, and I hope this little excerpt does as well. For that I am thankful. You the man Russler.
6. How does one even begin to describe Wayne. I love Wayne. He's outrageously wonderful. My vocabulary (which I pride myself on) comes up short when I attempt to elucidate his enigmatic personality. How do you explain the man who showed Taxi Driver to his English class? Is he the unadulterated genius we all believe him to be or is he a madman bent on something I'm too lazy to further explain. I don't know where I'm going with this except to say Wayne is a great guy who righteously kicks ass and I value our friendship a great deal.
7. Last but certainly not last because I'll probably remember something else as well as a few other people (Renny, Leather and Karah [all pseudonyms]for instance) but I'm running out of time so I would like to say that I am thankful for the weightroom on campus here at ZUCC for keeping my body cut and muscular for all the women I'm not fucking. I stay in shape for myself, and for the fact that it's hard not to look in the mirror when I'm masturbating in the bathroom, and let me tell you I'm looking good oh YEAH!!
On that note I leave you with a huge:
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOURS!!
