Condoms and Sexual Vocabulary in Chinese
ChinesePod just did a lesson on condoms. It was an amusing dialogue. (You can listen to just the dialogue on the online player by clicking on “DIAL” and then the play button.)
Then in the comments someone posted a link to the largest collection of sexual vocabulary and slang in Chinese (and English and Swedish) that I’ve ever seen. Impressive. It’s called 牛X语言, and yes, you might find it obscene, so click at your own risk.
It seems like the guy who runs xingfu.se turned off everything on the site.

Wow. The only problem is given the taboos in China there’s no guarantee a Chinese speaker knows some of the words on this list, either.
And as a bonus I just learned how to talk dirty to Swedes as well.

I have to say that the mandarin textbooks I have cover more daring topics than I’ve seen studying other languages. But there are some situations that they still don’t dare take up and this is a great resource for such situations.
And we can learn dirty Swedish for the same price! Thanks John.

Off topic here, but I’ve been meaning to ask for a while. You know your 6.7, 6.8, 6.9….counter at the top of your blog by your head? Two questions: 1) is that automated? 2) when will it hit 7.0? Because ever since that Y2K thing I can’t bear these countdowns. I come here everyday just to see that freaking thing turn to 7.0. I feel like you are Hong Kong about to be returned to China.

Yan She is actually from Japan, not surprising given how big the AV industry is there. From my recollection Yan is used a lot for face in the japanese language.
