It’s been a busy week at work, but it’s great to see one long-term project finally coming to fruition: today ChinesePod released the long-awaited first episode of its new video series, The Menu Stealer:

Enjoyed the video, nice lighting, interesting camera angles, and good acting. Is the writer Mark Lewis a new CPod employee? Hadn’t heard of him.
Very nice! Well put together, funny and I think informative/repetitive to a degree that makes it stick without being dull.
I know a lot goes into making these and that in many ways they are more suitable for lower level stuff, but have you guys ever considered doing anything like this at a higher level? I’d love to see what you would come up with.

Ah! Now I can order something different when dining in Shanghai (the home of Chinese Pod and SinoSplice).
I was there today (but only for 2 hours) then back to Osaka, Japan.
I actually had a funny experience in both places today that I’ll write about in my blog later.

A great video addition to the CPOD lessons.
But I still think a video series on learning radicals and characters would be even more popular. (I have focused on speaking / listening skills over the past 3 years with CPOD but do not have a clue how to learn the writing system).
good, on a technical I really like the grade, usually editors do not apply this skill enough It helps the atmosphere a lot. I came from a mostly northern menu experience and when I was in GuiLin I was really disappointed be the food on offer, the Mi Fen (and spicy chilli sauce) was the best thing I found there, maybe I was expecting too much as I felt it was close enough to SiChuan to have alot of those style dishes.
Well done! Very professional, and informative for an occasional reader like me. Can’t wait for more!
