The Yongjiu Bicycles Logo

29 Aug 2013

I noticed this cleverly designed logo for the Shanghai brand 永久 recently, and had to take note:

永久 Logo

永久 means “permanent.” Here’s the logo with its English name, “Forever”:

Forever (永久)

Here’s a bit of evolution of the logo over the years (notice that it was once written right-to-left):

Forever (永久)

Finally, if you’re having trouble identifying the character elements in the logo, here’s a little deconstruction aid for you:

  1. Very crafty design, well spotted John

  2. Do you notice the Infinity symbol ∞ ? Which also means “forever”.

  3. […] definitely don’t like this logo as well as the 永久 logo, but this one is still […]

  4. Pretty cool… the character elements came together more clearly for me when I separated off the two halves of the infiniti logo, as Albert suggests.
