The Upcoming Skritter iOS App Looks Awesome

And by “awesome,” I mean flashy (or sparky?), fluid, and fun! Check out this video:

More info on the Skritter iOS page. This is definitely an app I’ll be getting as soon as it comes out, and I’ll be reviewing it in the future.

  1. Does the size of the screen, the size of the thumb/finger, and the complexity of the character cause problems?

    • Hi John, thanks for mentioning us, we’ve been working on this app for a long time and it’s great to get a little publicity!

Tim, generally the size of the screen doesn’t cause problems, although it certainly did for filming purposes! If you want a bigger area on which to write, we will be releasing an iPad version at the same time.

  2. George Saines, android gonna get any lovin’?

  3. Woohoo!!! I’ve been waiting for this for so long!!

You can use a stylus or make one yourself which might make writing easier.

  5. Can anybody tell me what’s the difference to pleco with flashcard plugin (and maybe fullscreen handwriting)? ok, you can see where the strokes have to be. But besides that? I mean, after studying Chinese for a half a year/a year, stroke order isn’t a problem anyway.
Thanks for the heads up! 🙂
